WONDERKID is a film by Rhys Chapman about homophobia in football. Starring Chris Mason, the film depicts the inner turmoil of a gay professional footballer as he strives to succeed as his true self in a hyper masculine environment.

The film is part of a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about the lack of openly gay professionals in the sport. It has won the support of Sir Ian McKellen and Stephen Fry, as well as a number of companies and organisations.

But it was important for us to explore those archetypal characters - The Jock, The Nerd, The Dork, The Popular Kid - and then flip expectations. 'What's It Gonna Be?' is based on my personal experience as a kid; thinking you're in love but then realising that's maybe just because you feel you should be (and ending up with someone totally unexpected)." -Shura
